Get ready to experience online poker Southern style. If you are looking to play poker right now, River Belle Poker is just a click away. The first thing you will love about River Belle Poker is their simplistic home page. It’s all about the poker here and one simple click on the “Play Free Poker” banner starts the software download. River Belle Poker claims that it only takes ten minutes to setup and start playing poker, but I managed to start playing in just a couple of minutes. Downloading the software is quick and painless—weighing in at only 5 megs. When I first logged in, I enjoyed the simply lobby layout. Their poker software is not overloaded. My first goal was to check out the action at River Belle Poker. According to their stats, there are 8,900 players connected—at the time of this review. I quickly saw many tables were ready for me to sit down and enjoy. Before playing, you must register. Clicking on the login button will start the quick registration process required to play at River Belle Poker. So, after creating my alias name, I was off to test out the action at River Belle Poker. The software is very easy to navigate—even Internet neophytes will do just fine. River Belle Poker uses a folder-type hierarchy menu to navigate between game types. It’s just like a file system explorer. While River Belle Poker does not show the number of players entering a flop on average, they do show the average number of hands played per hour on each table—I like this a lot. The overall graphical appearance of the software is decent. However, plaques on the table represent players instead of caricatures. On the right is a long vertical chat window that displays each player move and the final hand results. This is also where chat between players is displayed. If you are a newer player, the software has one feature that might help you. It shows your current hand rank on the top of the community board. River Belle Poker is a little lacking in the tournaments department. I was unable to find many multi-table tournaments and there were only a handful of SnGs available. However, this can be a good thing. Some poker websites are too packed and the result is tournaments with hordes of players, which means increased difficulty. There’s plenty of action at River Belle Poker and they have many styles of poker including: Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud and Omaha. I can’t think of one reason why you wouldn’t want to click on over to River Belle Poker and play. Remember, click on the big “Play Free Poker” banner to start the software download. You will be playing poker at River Belle Poker within a couple minutes from now.
